Medaille graduate student Emma Papagni of Buffalo, NY, coauthored an article accepted for publication in the Journal of Addiction Medicine and Therapeutic Science. The article, titled "Substance Use and Relationship Functioning: A Parallel Process," was coauthored by Medaille assistant professors Dr. Keith Klostermann and Rene A. Jones; clinical mental health counseling student Emma Papagni; doctor of clinical psychology student Melissa Mahadeo; Kathryn Benfanti, a graduate of Medaille's clinical mental health counseling program and a case manager at University at Buffalo Counseling Services; and Theresa Mignone, a psychologist at the Buffalo VA Medical Center.

Klostermann, Ph.D., LMFT, LMHC, is an internationally recognized behavioral couples therapy (BCT) expert, while Jones is director of Medaille's marriage and family therapy program. Papagni and Mahadeo are part of Dr. Klostermann's research team.
